THE FOCUS OF
IT Forensics,
Inc.
Our focus is on
getting results for your clients.
Our product
is relevant evidence, that you can use.
To that end we work with you, the client's attorney to frame the
questions for our digital forensic examiners. This gets the answers
that can make the difference in your case. Properly framing the
questions, saves examiner time (saving money) by targeting the
search more precisely, and this has the additional critical benefit
of increasing the probability that we find the relevant evidence you
need to serve your client, without raising new issues
unnecessarily.
In criminal defense, in reviewing a report from a government
examiner, we look at the gaps and oversights; we consider the tool
weaknesses that may not be obvious in the report (this process is
commonly called peer review in the forensic examiner community). We
advise you on these vulnerabilities as well as the particular
strengths in the reports and evidence that the government has
disclosed, and we assist in framing a plan for cross-examination
based on the government examiner's report. We will testify on our
independent observations of the evidence (facts), our analysis of
the government's examiner's examination, and if appropriate our
expert opinion on the significance of the facts.
"Bill
Nelson is a top flight computer scientist, who also has a unique
ability to explain difficult concepts so ordinary people can
understand them. I found him to be very insightful about the
issues in my case, and also honest, fair, and diligent. I
recommend him highly."

defense attorney in 'United States v
Sami Omar al-Hussayen'
